NNC150
Self-Cleaning Mechanism of NNC-150
What is hydrophilicity?
A wall which is attractive to water is hydrophilic, in other words, the surface of the wall displays hydrophilicity. When water is dropped on the hydrophilic surface, water is not repelled by the surface and spreads to a wider area. On the other hand, a water-repellent surface sheds water and water forms a drop.
What is Angle of Contact?
When the angle of contact, an angle that is formed between the surface of a solid and a water drop when it touches the surface, is small, the surface of the solid is "hydrophilic". When the angle of contact is large, the surface repells a water drop and is "water repellent".
